Hi everyone,I am the head of my house hold with 9 kids and number 10 on the way (the last). I am the DIY man and now I need to learn how to weld. Our 15 passenger vans roof supports are going and I need to weld them. I don't know much about welding and have $350 to spend. I know I can pay some one to do this, but I lead by example and teach all the kids "why pay for someone to fix it when you can learn how to and keep the tools for the next job".I have used a stick welder once and a tack welder once. I have been trying to read up on this, but I just don't have the time to keep reading and searching. I would like to have something that provides the most flexibility. The kids like to learn with me and usually use many of my tools for projects (with my supervision when needed). I don't have a 220 outlet to work with. Any and all advice is welcome! Money is the primary limitation; time isn't (though a little being this is the family vehicle). Thanks |
