To take  some Clematis, a vine kind of plantAbout 6 ft high and 3 ft wide -- weighed in at 78 kilos, that's a lot of poundsJust collected it from Galvanising plantPigeon welding  --  garden folk don't notice though

Reply:That is a fine looking trellis and plant holder. I always laugh when you guys crank out something about 150lbs for some other guys wife. Knowing it's only going to sit in one spot for about so long before she wants it moved, and moved, and moved.........
Reply:Once it is galvanized it will be around for over fifty years and often a hundred years if it is away from the ocean.  Very nice.

Reply:Kings? never heard of 'emI welded it myself, never bent metal before -- well only oncei bought the leaves and rosesDo you have hot dip galvanising in USA?What are 'pigeon welds'? -- LOL  On the fork lift It's at the Galv plant, I managed to haul it there in the small Ford in the backgroundneeds painting nowShould i buy a 2.5 hp direct drive compressor and have a go at spraying? never sprayed beforeMight even have a shot at those roses with an air brushI'm a gardener -- 2nd class at thatcog -- N/W England -- twixt Liverpool and Manchester
Reply:Not my cup of tea, but it looks like it would be an interesting test of welding skills to assemble.  I am always intrigued by people's imagination, my brain just doesn't function in the art world.

Reply:If the welds fail,,the galvanising will hold it together.We used to call pidgeon poo welds "cockey crap "welds. It looks bloody good.Theres no such thing as scrap metal,its all good.
