i have a old hobart g-250 that my uncle has used to start his linclon sa-200 by turning my hobart all the way up and his all the way down and hooking the lead s together and it would spin his over till it cranked. the question i have is can this be reversed, the linclon is a dc machine and so is the hobart. my uncle has only had linclon welders. i don't want to fry anything. the reason i want to do this is to remagnify my welder, it was not welding one day so i flashed it(i think i did it right) it started to weld i turned the welder off for 10 min. and fired it back up and nothing , flashing it like i did before has not helped, i've cleaned both commintators (pardon my spelling) with a stone. i ordered a manual to see how to flash it right. i don't want to junk the welder because it is a great welder ,any replies will be helpful |
