I was just wondering if there were any cheap wleding classes in MD for MIG and TIG welding. I check AACC community college and it seemed expensive to me. Also, time is limited as I'm doing this along with working full time and family. I've been working on MIG at home with the Lincoln SP135T that I bought and I feel like I'm getting pretty good at it, but a class would certainly help. Also, I'd love to learn to TIG but I don't want to spend at least $1200 on a machine without trying it first. It was much easier to swallow a cheap 110 mig welder for under $500 to learn.
Reply:The class I'm taking at the local vocational college is costing me $650, plus an $80 textbook. After the number of rods I burnt on my first nite, I can see why they need to factor in the cost of materials...
