i was wondering if anyone uses this site for metal
Reply:I have used them for small quantities of weird stuff the local place doesn't carry. Great customer service, great selection. On large quantities, though, the shipping charges will just kill you. For example, on just 2 X 20 foot sticks of 3/4''16 gauge hot rolled square tube the price at the online store with shipping was more than double what I paid at the local place. ( Dillon Supply, Raleigh, NC ). But then I guess if you don't have anyone local, they'll work just fine. Good luck!
Reply:I bought a few small pieces from them. Took forever to ship. Probably won't use them again but it's good for getting an idea on price.
