Reply:Ah, now I see it. I guess you don't like your dad?John -  fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!-  bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:If my son gave me that message, they would still be picking his chicklets (teeth) up off of the garage floor. The Iron ManMJDI've been welding for over 25 years... STICK>>>MIG>>>TIG>>> and OXY. GAS...New to this web site, but old to welding & fabricating the best that money can't buy.Last edited by MJDamiani; 12-26-2006 at 01:03 AM.
Reply:Kid is only 13 check his profile. That's a waste of good material if u ask me.
Reply:I was identified as a solderer.  I can live with that as most welders can't solder.  I am a Dive Master and Certified Welder, and many other things, by choice, habit, or trade.
Reply:I made it for my dad as a joke and I used scrap cut offs to build it.

Reply:I feel bad for you, My dad was one of my best buds. Growing up there were a few times I got mad at him but never one time did I ever disrespect him. He never deserved any disrespect!
Reply:Trevor what did your dad think??  Thats all that counts. For a 13 year old I think you did a GOOD job. People maybe his dad liked it and going to put it somewhere?
Reply:as he said he made it as a joke so I guess his dad has a good sense of humor Creative metal Creative metal Facebook
Reply:if  had a 13 yr old..and he gave me one of those made of scrap...i'd be honored!  the apple dont fall far from the tree... but then "another direction" with your "art" would be in order shortly after.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:My dad would take it to work and put it as a paper weight on his desk facing all that entered the door
Reply:When I gave it to him he started laughing, he liked it allot especially because it was one out of acouple projects I FINISHED.I dont know where he will put it but he will put it somewhere.Last edited by Trevor33; 12-28-2006 at 10:24 AM.

Reply:I think its great, not many kids take the time to make their dads stuff,,Theres no such thing as scrap metal, its all good.
Reply:That's cool.  Glad to see a kid out ... you know, playing with electricity, fire, high temperatures and not to mention, pretty bright light...as opposed to sitting in front of a TV playing video games.  ...at least you'll learn something welding and cutting metals.. keep it up
Reply:Good job, if my son made me one I would mount it on my tool box and when someone got on my nerves I would just point to it and I think they would understand. That gives me an Idea I need on that says kMA(K--- M- A--) also so I wouldn't have to waste breath expressing myself. Will   Supports Autism Awareness                            My ToysBobCat 225 PLusMillermatic 130Miller Spectrum 300 CutmateEverlast Power Tig 185 Micro April is Autism Month .

Reply:As the recipient of Trevor's gift I had some mixed emotions.  I was not exactly pleased with the subject of his project, but I can't control everything that he learns on a school bus.  On the other hand, I was extremely pleased.  I have to brag a little here but how may 13 year old kids can MIG, TIG, use a plasma cutter, lathe, mill, or just about any tool I have in the shop. Any time that he spends in the shop working and learning how to build or repair things, is time that I enjoy the most.  Some day Trevor will be one heck of a mechnic/fabricator/engineer, I'm already one heck of a proud Dad.  I can asure you that Trevor meant no disrespect to me or anyone that sees his project.  He is a very respectful and polite young man, and I am lucky to have him for a Son.  Brag over.  Trevor's gift will find a place of honor somewhere in the shop.Mac
Reply:That sounds like a proud dad congrads. I can't wait until my sons ask me dad how do you do that. Will   Supports Autism Awareness                            My ToysBobCat 225 PLusMillermatic 130Miller Spectrum 300 CutmateEverlast Power Tig 185 Micro April is Autism Month .
Reply:As the gift for dad,... I think its cool of you, .. being a dad myself , I would much rather have a gift that makes me smile/laugh rather than a new tie or some such thing... and  for the item itself ,... hey ,.. it worked for Picasso , so who knows.... modern art is ,.. umm,.... yeah,.. art,.. I think,...
