Hey Guys, I just got my tax return back and I'm looking for some advice on new/used tools. My goal is to buy some things that would let me get a little more mobile and/or make fabrication easier. I've got the basics so far: small Lincoln welder, 110, flux core. grinders, drill, tap/die set, wrenches. Just the basics. Things I'm thinking about: engine driven welder. Have seen some good deals on used Lincoln and Miller machines. Maybe a small, light use oxy/ace setup. My dad has offered to give me his 5'x7' open trailer and am just thinking of some possibilities. I don't plan on quitting my day time job welding to work for myself because I think I'd starve The goal for this is to be more mobile and not have to do everything in my back yard. I'd like the ability to drive to a friends house and help them fix/weld something rather than drag it all over to my place. I have about $2,500 to spend. Thanks for the help. I'm trying my best to not blow the budget all on one thing and need some ideas to spread out the money. |
