yet another FFA project

Reply:shes been welding for as long as it took to build that archway hence my(oh what fun) from my original post,she told me they mig welded in agg shop but ill tell you she must have missed that day(lol) naw really she did really well for her first time

Reply:Dadgum, that's nice!  When I was in FFA, we just raised purdy cows and pigs.  I didn't know it had metal working as a possibility.  It's funny that now it's cool again to be in FFA.  When I was in school, it wasn't cool (80's).  Now I see folks sporting their jackets in college, no less.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.
Reply:ask her if she wants a job..looks better than what the bozo's where i work can do..wich is basically nothing...  ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Tell her good job. It is great (and more rare these days) to have a FFA Program at schools anymore, but it is better to also have ag welding. I was lucky to have ag welding at my high school, to bad I only got to weld one day a week, the rest I was out on the tractor, or taking care of the animals. ( I had a Stupid teacher for thinking I was responsible, I spent a lot of time in the back of the school making mud pits and bike jumps so we could off-road before and after school)

Reply:Beautiful job! Good welders are in high demand. I was FFA in late 60's. Cows, pigs and tractors. Didn't learn welding until I was a millwright in the late 80's. You go girl. You can be anything you want to be, just be the best at what ever you chose!
Reply:Very nice.  My 17 year old thinks its smelly, dirty and just plain silly welding.  Gee the first two are what I like about it (dont forget the noise, smoke fire and bright lights).  Its not silly at all however...Littlefuzz, when my daughter was 5 she was my shadow, washed her bike when I washed my cars, painted her bike when I was building rc planes and painting them, helped me with reloading chores, went shooting, fishing and well, everything I did.  When she turned about 13, things changed pretty drastically.  She become her mom's shadow.  I missed the tom boy stuff, but, was kinda glad she moved on to more feminine things...
