My argone regulator creeps up, even when I have not turned the screw in to raise pressure.Has anyone had this problem or know of a way to fix it . My experience with repair shops has been bad ,always comes back the same way. Thanks Jim
Reply:Dumb question, but does it creep when it's not being used, and then return back to where you had it set when you weld again?-Millermatic 211, Powermax 380, and way too many other tools to list....-Unofficial, professsional, garage tinkerer...
Reply:Gas is leaking past the seal which is caused by either some foreign object such as dirt having gotten in so the seal isn't seating, or the seal is old and brittle so gas leaks slowly through the cracks. For the second and depending on the design, the seals should be able to be replaced; ie, the regulator rebuilt.
Reply:Oldiron2 is right. The seat in the regulator needs to be replaced.Do not use a repair shop that does not total rebuild the regulator. We totally rebuild every regulator and replace the inlet nut & nipple.rebuild warranty is 180 days.IM me if you want more info.JimOAdoctorwww.regulatortorchrepair.com
