Reply:thats what im planning on making.
Reply:here are two pics. this backhoe has digging depth of 9ft and runs off a 9-11hp engine. Attached Images
Reply:Go to:machinebuilders.comLook at their forums. There are a few people there that has built loaders and backhoes. There are some pictures with the posts.Joe Cooper
Reply:There's plans for a custom built front end loader that attaches to a tractor in the book "ARC Welding Projects Volume III"..IT has parts list and pretty detailed desc of how to contruct it. there is one picture of it attached to a tractor.  Lots of parts.BR
Reply:damn i love workin for Kubota...i could tell you how to build one all day but not too sure the company would like that to much...i build/weld the mainframes for our TL series loaders and the mainframes for the 853,1301,1601,1251, and 1002 loaders everyday!...i could draw/sketch the plans for the entire loader assembly and backhoe assembly by heart
Reply:Before you build one, try to remember one thing: THEY NEVER BIG ENOGH! I have 2950 kubota, trust me, I wish I would have bigger one.... Maybe try to rent one, and see if you like it, before you spend time and $$$.If you still want to build one check with baileynet.com for some hydro stuff. If I were you, I'd better off get used one with tractor and fix it up...
Reply:Would be inclined to use the Cadplan design if I were building a BH or Digger.  www.cadplans.com
Reply:It doesn't look like these small ones would have enough weight to them.  It would be hard digging around here with one.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:I hope you live in a sand box.
Reply:Thats a question i have, how hard can the ground be and still dig, the ground is pretty hard around where i live
Reply:From what I've read the small units have 2 ton+ ripping power. Not shabby considering. And yes, it's optimistic to get that without a good counterweight, like an 8000lb truck which can still get bounced about when digging. My landscaper buddy has one and it churns through clay like it was butter. I'm planning on a build if I get the time and money. It will pay for itself just by replacing my collapsing sewer line from my house to the city hookup. Then I have a retaining wall to sink, a foundation for a shop, perhaps an extension to the house......
Reply:It would definitely be fun to play on!  And build for that matter.  We want pics of your progress though DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
