The first 2 pics are of a small cargo trailer I made for the wifes jeep to go to the cabin. She insisted on only having a six foot trailer so I made the tailgate so it drops even with bed to haul longer lumber. The second two were made out of some free material I got ahold of and I wanted to make something useful. Now I just need to find a house or build one to fit the 6.5x12 drop trailer. Reply:Here is another one for pressing compound bows to change strings and cams. This one is for older model bows made prior to  parallel limb technowledgy. You need a press designed specific for newer bows as sharp limb angle has to be pressed so the limbs do not slip down the rollers and hit cams.I just completed one for new bows also but it needs some paint.I hate painting!it does make an item look better but I get it all over the carpet the dog and in my hair yuk!LOL Attached Images
Reply:looks good..if i ever put something like the bow thingie down on a nice table like that...my wife would be all over my as$ ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Oh I can really relate to the wife.If I leave my expensive bow in the wrong place she will drive right over it with the vacuum just to make her point. The pict. is in my archery room I created after my daughter moved out.My welder is in a 30x40 polebarn with 12 foot sidewalls and another 9 ft  to peek of roof so it is to cold now as its unheated.  I bring the small items I have to measure and punch for drilling into the same room.My wife very much supports my welding and archery interest but if I leave a tiny arrow rest(and some are very expensive)on the kitchen table she may toss it in garbage. This works in reverse as I store much of her extras in my polebarn.Plenty of space I just need to keep flamable items away from the welding area. And since my wife is a redhead I also know if I leave things in her way she will become a flaming item and the heat comes directly toward me.LOL

Reply:littlefuzz; that question is a great one and I actually just took a look back at the thread as I wanted some suggestions on the drop trailer.I set an 8 foot camper on it just to roll the camper in yard.My intention was to build the fishhouse light so no worry about to much weight.I do not remember what pound the leaf springs were.I have lost interest in ice fishing so the house has never been built. The reason for this reply is to ask others more familiar with trailers if they think I could convert this to a motorcycle trailler with just the standard channel wide enough for tires. My cruiser weighs about 850 and my street bike is about 570.Does anyone think I could haul the two bikes side by side.Reason is I could easily drop the trailer and drive the bikes on.Or would I just be better off starting from scratch and build with a standard axel.Any imput would be helpfull as my concerns are safety to others when traveling and keeping the bikes locked down so they do not tip when hauling.Gary
Reply:I don't see any problem converting it.  All you really need is a deck on it and some tie down spots.  Definitely be different, and different is good (most of the time   Those look like regular boat trailer winches, right?  Probably rated at around 1300lbs. each,  with the axle being levered it shouldn't have any problem.  If ya use 14GA tread plate for a floor it'll be around 120lbs for a 4' x 8' sheet.  A couple of small electric winches would be nice DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:Here is a picture of the wheel mount.I did not want to copy others so I created my own swing devise.Rather than use the solid bar under the trailer  I mated two short pieces of pipe and drilled a big hole for bolt through frame and pinned it so it would not slide apart.I felt the weld going around the larger male pipe was enough weld to hold securely.I did make a swing around the big lake looking at drop designs(after I made my own LOL)I did see one the same way I made mine exept he used longer pipes than I did.I have pulled it on the highway and it trails nice. I have a temporary tire on backwards. To stay within the width limit I need to buy regular trailer wheels as the rim is in the middle of wheel. Thus I will also have clearance between the wheel and swing arm. That is why the wheel is on backwards now. When we slid the camper on I realized you an do some unique things with the winches. If you keep the pin in end of spring you an pull both winch straps back and use them to crank for loading. We just backed another trailer that hauled my pick up camper up to my frame and wrapped the two winch straps around back of camper ny using a tow strap to lengthen.(The camper did not have jacks with it). That is the next project I will show you.I wanted to see if the camper sqated my 1/2 ton so I built a set of the old style free standing jacks(Window breakers) unlike the old style that had a small diameter pipe I made them super strong and also used a wider and longer angle iron for tucking it under the side of camper.I have sinse found a good set of jacks that mount to camper so I do not have to haul the monster jacks with to take camper off if I need to on a trip.I am keeping the jacks for building small trailers as I can lift the frame to right height for welding and keep it leval as My floor in the pole barn is not leval. As soon as it gets day light I will add a picture of jacks as I overkilled with strong steel. Reply:How long is the tongue on your jeep trailer, and how does it do when backing? Looks good nice work. gnewby
Reply:I am just guesing the tounge on the small trailer is 4 foot.I can back it great but my wife needs a little practice.LOL
Reply:Here are a few more. The first one was for a camper I bought that had no jacks. The old jacks like this were called window breakers as they could tip in easy.I made these a bit beafier.lol the main pipe wall is 1/4 inch thick and rather than the standard 2x2 angle they use to use to lift the camper I went a little bigger and longer so they do not slip  out from under edge of camper. The next was made cuz I hate the brittle racks on the front of my 4 wheeler so I made this and it has over 50 holes drilled for bungy tiedown.I bet no one has seen anyone do the last one.I made a front hitch to put the boat in  so I made a special adjustable ball for height.I hate these things coming out from under the truck seat so I put them somewhere no one could steal them when not in use.
