Please critique my weld, what can I do better? Thanks for any help.
Reply:Not bad, it looks like your not using enough filler (or none at all...are you fusing?) and pushing your puddle a little too far...a tad too thin IMO. Otherwise, you have the technique down good! John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:Judging by the white crust..Its Aluminum...Pics are so-so.. Reply:Only recommendation I'd be able to give is to not weld on the carpet.ThermalArc 185MillerMatic 180 w/ AutosetVictor Cutskill Oxy/AcetyleneThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 38and spite!
Reply:Yes, Im just fusing it. Im trying to get the technique right before I start adding filler. As for the info, its 1/8 aluminum, as for what kind, I dont know. 3/32 red tungsten with a 130 max. I would get a picture of the backside, but photobucket isnt working right now, maybe later.
