At home we have an oxy ace. torch we use for cutting. i was digging around and found a airco brazing torch. i would assume it has not been used in twenty years. other then gettin a new tip is there anything i need to do or know before just Using it?
Reply:I would think any gaskets or O-rings would be toast long ago. Probably best to take it completely apart.IMHO200amp Air Liquide MIG, Hypertherm Plasma, Harris torches, Optrel helmet, Makita angle grinders, Pre-China Delta chop saw and belt sander, Miller leathers, shop made jigs etc, North- welders backpack.
Reply:+1 to Bert. Better yet, take/send it in to be rebuilt. OADoctor on the forum is a great guy and is trained to do that kind of stuff. Reminds me, I need to send in my old torch for a rebuild, too
Reply:Take it apart and ispect the o-rings, clean it up, blow it out and put new o-rings if needed.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
