McMaster Carr up here?

Anyone know if we have an equivalent to McMaster Carr up here in Canada?I'd not heard of them before. Now I know were you guys get some of those neat bits and pieces!!!  Shipping from the states can suck due to shipping costs and duty! Reply:Try Carr-Lane Manufacturing. Their catalog is smaller but they can get you all of the same things McMaster. The upside of Carr-Lane is that they sell through distributors so you can find a local place and not worry about the shipping, etc.Canadian distributor list can be found here: http://ecom.carrlane.com/distributors/canada.htmlGood luck, hope it helps.

But they fired their counter staff, who were really good people, and now I'd have to phone Vancouver and talk to someone that I can't wave my hands around to or make a doodle for to describe what I'm looking for, because I don't know what it's called. Then Van. calls Victoria, and they get my order ready in next two weeks. No thanksAny one else find Acklands prices retarded. They must sell a lot to the Gov't and big business's that don't shop around. But, if one can't get it elsewhere, they've got you/me by the short and curly's I guess!
