Can you tell me if these prices are any good for reclaimed steel?

Reply:Im unfamiliar w/ selling used steel by the piece. Around here its priced by weight, .30/lb and what it is (pipe, angle, plate etc) doesn't factor into the equation. Al and stainless run more.
Reply:Well based on 1018 structural steel.1 x 1 (.875" i.d.) $1 lineal foot with lengths up to 14' - .75lbs/foot - $.225/foot1 x 2 (.875" x 1.875" i.d.) $1 lineal foot with lengths 3' - 1.17lbs/foot $.36/foot2 x 2 (1.75" i.d.) $2 lineal foot with lengths up to 14' - 3.175lbs/foot $.95/foot3 x 3 (2.75" i.d.) $3 lineal foot with lengths up to 7' - 4.86lbs/foot $1.46/footDoes that seem about right?

Reply:When the guy takes the metal to a scrap dealer he will get less than $0.10/lb for it if he's lucky.
