This is a Tecumseh engine that ober-revved and threw the rod out the side of the block. I tigged in a new piece. Attached Images

Reply:You got that hole in a "lucky" place (if there is such a thing as good luck when throwing a rod?).  Nice work.  I figure the block is aluminum?
