I was rear ended and it folded up the factory step bumper. Instead of waiting for the insurance company, I built my own. My father taught me this a long time ago. Reply:Hey you did a great job on the bumper. I imagine the rear bumper on my old ford PU is about the same as the original was on your rig there. Mostly tacks with silicon beads . Good solid job.
Reply:That looks good, I was working on a bumper myself this weekend. How did you get the bends on the ends?
Reply:I cut noches in the flanges and heat it with a rosebud. A big crescent wrench helps. It also helps if you start in the center of a 10' piece. 2 bumpers from a length.Real world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
