Playing with Aluminum

ok, so there are 4 welds here (several views of each).  It has been a little over a year since I picked up a TIG torch so I was pretty proud of these, but I heard nothing but negative about them when I got home. I already know what I did wrong (even w/o my husband telling me) but I thought that I would post them anyways.

Reply:Hey weldrwomn,It looks great to me.  You have a little under cut action going there slow down on the edges.  A little less heat and slow down you'll get it!!

So...'splain it to me, what IS wrong with it and how do you fix it?Like I have said before, I been in the field for 35yrs or so and just never learned how to tig. Those look real nice to me..... Reply:seems like you realy have to shuve the filler in with aluminum. i'm just starting out myself so i have no room to complain about your's, i just remember when i was doing it that i had to realy feed the filler in there, no dabbing, more like shuving. and i gotta agree the tungsten just dosent flow into the bead as well as the filler dose.LOLlooking good. summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.
