I thought I'd try and post a photo again. This time I think it'll work. My old POS truck (1991) and custom built deck(2006). The step bumper actually houses a 2000lb fold away crane/winch. Attached ImagesMan invented metal, he can do whatever he wants with it.KMAC
Reply:Looks good to me.. As long as it runs.. I'd like to see the crane!!...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:a couple pics of the crane. I don't know about the 2000lb rating but it has no problem with the welding machine (700lbs). It's called a "Western Mule". You can google bumper crane for more info. Attached ImagesMan invented metal, he can do whatever he wants with it.KMAC

Reply:what Zap, welder by day, logger by night? You'll set it on fire man anyway, good lookin rig man. Now go make some money for improvements, so you can make more money, so you can make more improvement, so you can... wait, if man would just be satisfied, there'd be no need for all these improvements, and therefore all this money..., but where's the fun in that?

Reply:Nice rig, Kinda looong. You can carry lengths of steel with out a flag. DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:Man zap, should have taken it to a local mill and had some of it cut into usable lumber. Would have looked good.BTW, Great looking rig. Ive been thinking along the lines of a used flatbed to do the same thing instead of going the trailer route.I think toolsides take up too much room for workable space (and really, who needs all the compartments that are either too big or too small). The crane sounds cool too, do you use it to lift the welder on and off if needed?Various GrindersVictor Journeyman torch200cf Acet. 250cf oxygenLincoln 175 plus/alpha2 gunLincoln v205t tigLincoln 350mpEsab 650 plasmaWhen you can get up in the morning, Its a good day.Live each day like its your last.

The job box and welder are easy to undo (two minutes) and the crane's main use is for loading and unloading. There is also a swivel pulley that mounts in the reciever hitch for sidways winching. The bed is 10' long and 7.5' wide. When I start loading fences or access ladders on it, I'm glad I didn't make it 8' long.Man invented metal, he can do whatever he wants with it.KMAC
