Sorry for starting another thread about this but I was all done when I relized what I did..... Here is link to the original thread for anyone who may be looking at this for the first time....http://www.weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=9244So here's the latest progress......... one more day and I'll be DONE I bumped the 2nd wear bar and fit them into place.... After trimming they fit really well, again just had to dog one spot on each side. http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...t/P1010001.jpghttp://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...P1010002-1.jpgNext..... start welding, 1/16" dualshield, cranked up. This was a lot of work, not on the edge that sits against the floor but on the outside edge. I had to do A LOT of filling because the bucket edges were rounded from wear. One side was better than the other. The side that was worn the most took 4 passes with the bead being more than an inch wide in some spots. http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...P1010004-1.jpghttp://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...t/P1010007.jpghttp://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...t/p1010008.jpghttp://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...P1010003-1.jpgOn the inside of the wear bar I only ran one pass....http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...P1010005-1.jpghttp://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...t/P1010006.jpgThe next step was to locate and tack the horizontal wear bars...http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...P1010010-1.jpghttp://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...P1010011-1.jpghttp://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...P1010012-1.jpghttp://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...t/p1010009.jpgI'll have one more day welding in the rest of the wear bars and tying up any loose ends.... And Microzone..... Here is a pic on my brake.... I use the bracket on the front of the brake to keep the small side bars square while bumping them around. If you start to bump the piece at angle the bar will begin to corkscrew. My guide just unbolts from the face of the machine.http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...t/P1010013.jpg_________________Chris

Reply:I have fixed 6 or 8 buckets and or shovels. Nothing like this rebuild. What is the cost of the re-build vs. the cost of the new/used bucket?
