Well, I finally got everything setup and tried my MIG welder for the first time last night.I must say that I still have to make a lot of adjustments/improvements to the wire speed, helmet darkness, and gun control. but it was my first try and it was late. The pictures are on 1/8th inch mild steel with Lincoln .030 Flux coreSorry if the pictures are fuzzy. I'm starting to think the Dime in everyones pictures it to give the cameras something to focus on. Reply:Its a good start for first time ever. Looks to me like you need to slow down the wire a little. Clean off the slag so we can see what you are doing.Real world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:I take it that using flux core wire means that you were not using a shielding gas? What machine are you using and what settings? |
