Hello I'm brand new here and a novice weldor at best. I've been researching material types and have a couple of question about grades of steel.Is 1018 grade steel the same as A36?I'm beginning to suspect they are not the same.All things being equal Is A36 grade steel OK to use in a sportscar chassis? I'm designing and building my own mid engine car. I have a Syncrowave 200 and am getting fairly good at welding in comfortable positions. Thanks for your help.Bill
