a few recent rebuild's

here are few rebuilds I had to do over the last month its a semi tipper and its dolly there part of a road train (road train is a combo of up to 4 trailers joined together buy dollys )they were the last part of the combo the second trailer went over and took the dolly with it I had to renew the draw draw turntable and various other parts on the dolly On the trailer I had to cut the left hand side and front of the trailer fit new draw bars airbags hoist and refit very thing else I took off to do the job eg lites toolbox's mudguards and such the front was ok the side was a pain on this make of trailer its made up of 9 sheets that are fully welded inside and out and under lap the right hand side .these pics are of the units ready to be picked up our paint guys weren't happy painting this one because the owner wanted it painted in clear over base which does not get used on trailers very often took a while to paint and cost a heap.the first pic is of a road train pointing out were the dolly fits in some people may not know what a road train is the dolly hooks up to a pull on the back of the trailer or truckCreative metal Creative metal Facebook
Reply:You don't see very many "Road Trains" around here..Pretty cool looking.. Just the double up of a Semi trailers now and then....You get all the fun jobs.. ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:I would hate to have to reverse one of those things into a tight spot. Anyone that has towed a boat or trailer knows that in reverse you turn opposite of where you want it to go.... I guess in this case you turn where you want it to go... or just count on luck to get you there. That's some heavy duty work Wello. There's a lot counting on your welds/work.
Reply:Very interesting!!  I don't think in the US you could pull that legally.  Never seen one if you can.  I have seen a few short trailers hooked tandem, but nothing like that.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
