It's 5 a.m. on Friday morning. yesterday I was called out to an underground storage facility owned by Marathon Petroleum. I plan to take some pictures today. There is some pretty interesting stuff going on there. The shaft in the ground is 600' deep. The tunnel will be about 3 miles long and hold up to 1.2 million barrels of butane. It will be underneath the Big Sandy river in some places. As of now I'm just doing some handrail work. (about 4 stories off the ground) Hopefully I will get to go underground if something breaks. I'm crossing my fingers.(not to wish any bad luck for anyone, of course).Just thought someone might be interested. I got up a little early and had some time to kill. Should have the pictures posted this evening or late tonight. I love this job.
