Even before I found this forum! I wanted some bed space back in my duallyI wanted to go from that, to This, so I could still carry 8' lumber metal ect...and this is how I got there I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, I also have this trailer and wanted it to be a solid deck,, So I put some 3" channel into the center across, at 4' centers, bought three 12' pieces of 1/8" diamond plate and had it sheared into three 40" pieces each, (Perfect that the trailer was almost exactly 40 wide in the middle!) This is the finished projectAnd this is my newer trailer Before we did the "Flip out" project on itAs you can see, I live in a subdivision, it sucks, I really want some land, and a building like the one guy did, HERE WITH A LOFT!!! man that would be awesome... Some day maybe,,,Last edited by JimTjr; 06-28-2007 at 08:32 PM.
Reply:Nice looking work. What do you haul with those trailers?Favorite right now is a Miller Syncro 200.Tons of tools and I blame at least one of them when things don't go right.
Reply:Thanks, I recently retired from GM, (well a year ago this month, but it seems like yesterday!) 30.8 yrs, and three plants to get it done. At 49 when I retired I knew I wouldnt be sitting around. So I started a one man trucking company, autos and "Hot shot" things. The "hotshot" is harder to get your foot in the door, so I got more into autos, and needed the "Wedge" trailer for that. It will haul three medium size autos. Just recently had an 06 BMW Z4, Jag XK8 and Landrover Discovery on it.
