This is little "Lil Heep" (for those that arnt familiar w/ jeep names), AKA [cove TROLL]I did this to my jeep during a clean up ride we do in Monteagle TN doing some crazy stuff. So the story goes I first broke the pinion yoke which then caused the front axles to still spin which caused them to break all inners and outers then to top it all off the left ball joint broke causing the left front wheel to fall off which caused the break like to bust. HMMMMMM yeah bad night. Then, if you all are familiar with the top truck challenge thats hosted in California, my bro-inlaw used his dodge Cummings that was in 2006 TTC to tow me out......well he broke a drive shaft doing that. All this was in some of the hardest trail riding in the south. I knew I should have taken my Yota FJ 40 instead that day.So all this to say we decided to create a memorial Troll out of the carnage every bit from axles to break lines weld it like you own it
Reply:Dude that is the sweetest breakage i've seen in a long time! And it looks like to top it off you tweeked the rail on trailer you towed it on. Thats awsome, but not so awsome when its time buy new parts Oh and the troll was the perfect use for all the wreckage. Thanks for sharing the pics
Reply:That is amazingly broken, I like the troll though. I'd do it with all the parts I've replaced from my Rover, but it would just be a heap of bumpers and gaskets.
Reply:Yeah imagine trying to get a three wheeled rig on a tight fit trailer with no power and breaks. Yes without the winch hhhmm I could not imagine;however, the darn thing just would not go on easy w/ three wheels. We even looked for a tree to hoist from using snatch blocks and other folks' winches to raise then lower. When I took the silly thing off we rolled it into the shop and raised it off the trailer using the lift.. Here it is now good as new weld it like you own it

Reply:Too bad man...your jeeps look pretty nice thou...what mods do you have on it?My Babies: HF Drill pressHF Pipe Bender3 4.5" Black and Decker angle grindersLincoln Electric PROMIG 175that´s it!
Reply:Ok I know this is not this type of site but here goes....The jeep is built for daily driver and semi serious wheeling.Mods include tail shaft conversion, spring over, traction bar, winch,33" tsls and I made it as low and wide as possible for excellent stability...which is really nice, 5 point harnesses cage, 456 gears on stock axles for the reason the spare shafts are more than cheap and can be done on the trail in no time. I break more w/ this jeep than I do with the cruiser. But again the parts are easy and cheap to repair.I have on-board air for power tools and oh did I mention detriots front and rear.If yall are interested i'll later tell you more of my baby ....my fj40 the serious non street legal 4x4.Thanks for the interest. weld it like you own it

Reply:Good lookin Heep there Lewray.I can see why all the carnage. Having 4.56s and Detroits on stock drive line. But like you said, cheap to fix.I have a rig with Dana 60s and I will never use anything less again. Haven't broke anything in 5 years. Except the occasional front U-Joint giving out. Reply:I have a Dana 70HD rear end that I took 4.10s out of. I installed 3.73s. Holy cow those are some beefy gears on those 70HDs. I can not imagine having 4.56s in there. Reply:It's been awhile, but I'm starting to get interested again. I go up to Aetna every now and then to ride bikes. Lots of crawlers up there nowadays. I'm gonna have to build one. A buddy just got a really mean tube-frame crawler. We are gonna have to do a little work to it, but it should be on the mountain within the next week ir two.Miller EconotigCutmaster 38Yes ma'am, that IS a screwdriver in my pocket!
