Toyota Truggy Build Part 2

Ok here we go with pat to of the Toyota Truggy build... For those of you who are not familiar with this project refer to part one Toy Truggy Build Prat 1Up for part 2 is a tube front clip, winch mount, and shock hoops.... but first we decided to play with the front spring to try and get the front to the same hight the rear is sitting at currently...The goal was to try to keep the same spring rate by replacing bands with ones of the same length and thicknes, but with less arch...The end result was about a -1.5", still needs to go down another 2 to 3 inces, hoping the winch and radiator will take up some of that....Millermatic 175 MIGMiller Spectrum 375 PlasmaLincoln AC/DC 225 BuzzboxM-Tech NE5 Tube bender withcustom CNC machined 3/4" think main arms

Reply:Well Stomper, I see a LOT of stinger bumpers on the truck forums. Now I have actually seen one that I know is going to see some abuse! I like the way you have made all the contact points tie back to another solid spot on the frame. That one is BURLY!!!! Good job and good pics. Thanks!!And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.

Reply:Looks pretty good, those springs hangars ressemble mine somewhat, except everyone hated mine... haha yours look good though because they go under the frame. That stinger looks good too, I kind of wish I had ponied up and bought a die with more than 120 degrees of bending capability.... Is that a diamond housing?? Reply:Nice project at least you don't have to rush because of winter creeping up on you. How did you cut those holes prior to dimpling them? Hole saw?
