OK - You all got me talked out of my vts 400d ox. reg. But I can't believe that it blew on me. I had both regulators rebuilt about 7 years ago and only used them 4 or 5 times. They mostly sat dormant in my garage. (maybe the So. Calf. heat got to them) Most of my work with my torches is automotive and bench work. I did go to welding school on weekends for a few months before moving back to Hawaii and my equipment had seen no abuse. So I will look on Ebay for a ox. reg. and see what I can find. I know that some manufactures make things slightly different so their parts don't fit others. Everything I have so far is Victor. So the ? is,are most welding torches interchangeably or what should I look for in a ox reg. I'm just a Ham&Egger in my back yard shop.
Reply:if i were in your position i would pm a member here named oadoctor..he does that stuff for a living and will steer you right...
