I want to solder a steel block (1/2 x 1 x 2) on to a copper block ( 1 x 2 x 3 )  What do I use & how do I do it ?
Reply:You have many options. What do you want to accomplish? Service conditions? Type of copper? type of steel? The right type of copper and steel and you could weld besides braze or solder. What type of equipment do you have? Propane torch, air acetlene, oxyacetylene?
Reply:Here is a chart that can be of use..I recommend Safety Silv 45  Made by Harris...You will need the flux that will put up with the heat range of the saftey silv 45 however..You can get it from Grainger and it costs around 4$...http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg/start.shtml...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
