Reply:Thanks for finding that site Franz. I think my potential for successfully welding aluminum, with my mig set, just went up. I liked the idea, in the article on aluminum, of placing steel behind thin aluminum sheet to help control the heat. Can't wait to get a chance to try it.

Reply:Nice site Franz,When I worked for GE Medical back in the 80's they used copper for steel and steel for aluminum, actually worked good.J P Streets Welding LLC |
