don't know if this is the right place to ask, but thought I'd throw it out there.. my headlight buckets on my 66 mustang are pot metal and there's a couple of small brackets that need repair. Since the melting point is probably pretty low, mig is out of the question and I think my only option is soldering or brazing. My question comes down to what type of filler do I use? and where can I get it?
Reply:Mig and tig dont work, that much I can say from experiences. Maybe brass brazing would work. When something's pot metal, I just throw it away and buy a new one....MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
