In town we had a explosion at a gas station. Static electricity caused a spark which caused a massive explosion and fire. The station is rebuilding their awning and this metal was free for the taking. It is 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 3/16" angle. Approx. 400' of it. Any project ideas? Reply:Make a shelving unit, a frame with plywood in centre. After all who ever has enough storage? If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.
Reply:looks like enough for a pretty nice building frame.
Reply:you could always build a few arbors, or trelless for the yard. thats what i did with some bed frames i salvaged from the curb trash.
Reply:You should weigh it and figure a price per foot. I am sure you will sell some of it. Don't give it away just because you got it for almost free.DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:workbench? shelves? a rack to hold it
Reply:I let the local scrap guys pick up mine. Its good for them and good for me. If I do it, it takes half a day and alot of dickering. It helps them help me (sometimes Im looking for a certain size or whatnot and anything metal they come through, alls it takes is throwing a few coupons out front).Various GrindersVictor Journeyman torch200cf Acet. 250cf oxygenLincoln 175 plus/alpha2 gunLincoln v205t tigLincoln 350mpEsab 650 plasmaWhen you can get up in the morning, Its a good day.Live each day like its your last.
