Hey all had to get in here and tell you  how stoked i am about my new 3045 FC welder I got. If  I tell the wife about it any more she is libel to strangle me.  Got this machine with the bobcat  I wrote about in another thread but just got it yesterday  and yes I still wont go back to that shop ever again.        Any way I was afraid this wire feeder was not going to be up to parr for my needs, was going to get a suitcase but it was out of my price range   I hooked it up to the bobcat when i got home yesterday after work. Bought a roll of .035 wire with it (same I use at work) Went to town on some scrap metal i have and that thing is one bad mother           I have a Millermatic 250 at work and I think it puts that thing to shame. Dose Any one else use one of these machines and have you had any problems?  If anyone is looking for a portable wire feeder (flux core) but wants to spend about half the price of a suitcase I make a vote for the 3045 FC        Going to take this opportunity to also say something about this forum. Would like to say its very nice to have a place where I can share thoughts with many other welding fans. Im lucky to say Im someone that really loves what I do for a living. Have a welding partner at work but he is no longer interested in welding(completely burnt out) and doesn't like to talk about any aspects of the job anyway  he is retiring in November (cant Wait)    Being able to discus welding keeps my interest up even on bad days. School used to fill this void but now that im done with school this forum is a good resourceno you cant fix it with a hot pass.BORN TO LOSE, LIVE TO WIN.

Reply:If you think "fluxcore is good. Get the solenoid kit, some C25, and some .030" ER-70-S6. You'll think you died and went to heaven.Like I said before, I had the opportunity to run that set up, and was impressed. A lot cheaper than an LN 25 and Cobramatic gun.
Reply:Fla,            I use gas shelded wire at work and ya its the cats meow. I went with flux core for myself for work in the field ect.no you cant fix it with a hot pass.BORN TO LOSE, LIVE TO WIN.
Reply:If you do any stainless mig, it's hard to beat the fluxcore...especially if you're able to weld it all flat.  It lays in nice, and cleans up easy.  At work, we usually use something like 316LT-1.Proud to be a UNION worker.  Better pay, better benefits, better work environment.  UA Unions = working for the working class!!

Reply:The 350P is a new MIG with pulse model from Miller. It has not been distributed nationwide yet. It has very limited distribution at this time. I think it may be June before you'll see any info on the Miller site.  A few distributors have sold some and the general consensus is that it is a very fine machineAllen
