Hi. I am wanting to take the 3g weld cert. with my employer and would like to practice for a few weeks in advance before taking the test. Would like to know if anyone could tell me how to set up the test. Plate thickness I would like to use 1 inch but what degrees do I cut the bevel and should only one of the plates be beveled and the other not? Any advice would be appreciated
Reply:Those specifications can and will vary between employers, the only way to get that information is to see the WPS for your test.Last edited by sn0border88; 10-27-2010 at 08:13 PM.Have we all gone mad?
Reply:Ok. Is there a process that could at least help me? I was thinking two 6" long 1' thick plates one cut at a 45 and the other straight edge and use a 1/4 backing plate.
