Have an old 230v 8" Baldor bench grinder that finally needs new wheels. Its an 812re to be exact. The wheels are 8"-1-3/4shaft. I don't really care when it comes to kinds of angle grinder wheels etc. but thought i'd get some advice on good quality bench grinder wheels as it is a little more important and in my opinion a more dangerous piece of equipment.I can get Baldor wheels for around $32 online, i need a 36gr and a 60grit but not sure if they are good as others out there etc.Anyone have good advice on which brands to get or not get or where to order from?thanks

Reply:I good wheel you may wanta try on one wheel is the 3M expander wheel that has different grits the wheel is foam and as it spins it conforms to the work you are working with for fine finshing and a pro job, you got the power to run it.
Reply:Look up MSC, ENCO or Travers online catalog. Norton is definitely quality. You'll find a lot to choose from. |
