Reply:Then as usual I got carried away. I tried 100 ipm, but it wouldn't get into the 3/8 plate enough, so I went to 140 ipm and ran 8 beads. The machine said 72 amps every time I stopped the arc. Still in pulsed spray mode.Here is the profile of the beadsA bendBroken. You can see the lack of penetrationThe veritcal up gave me the best bend in the plate. Reply:Looks like a fun day of breaking things. I've never tried pulse spray before... We have a machine setup at work that has a pulse option.. I'll have to take a crack at it.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.

Reply:If you weld bolth sides it won't break as easily. Also by not striking it with a hammer will help keep it from breaking. |
