Reply:It's China - they'll blame everyone but the true guilt party or parties.Just a few quotes from the article:". . .Two construction companies had covered the building in scaffolding made of flammable nylon netting and bamboo, which ignited quickly. . .""The fire became so big because the scaffolding contained a great amount of flammable materials,. . .""It is hard to believe the government now. The drills on TV are successful, but when a fire truly happens, it's just useless.""We feel that the fire rescue measures and methods weren't fast enough, and secondly they weren't vigorous enough,. . ."Yup, it was the "unlicensed welders" that were to blame for sure. The city/country that allows such construction conditions and lack of fire suppression/extiguishment systems in such buildings doesn't have anything to do with it. Reply:It seems to me to be a problem with the design of the building. If it would burn that well during construction there is no reason it wouldn't burn sometime later. How did the flames from the scafolding enter the building so fast? How about a fire alarm? Egress? They should blame the person who started the fire for destrying the scaffolding. But the people inside should have been protected by their building.Of course in China the welders will probably but put to death just for the value of the lost scaffold.Last edited by fortyonethirty; 11-16-2010 at 08:12 PM.Ian TannerKawasaki KX450 and many other fine tools

Reply:The other day I saw a thing about a bridge being built in Minnesota that had caught on fire while there was welding going on on the bridge. The way the bridge looked, it seemed like the bridge had a lot of wood material and looked like it had been covered in something flammable. http://www.kare11.com/news/news_arti...storyid=880585I am not trying to scold anyone or anything like that, but I it seems like there is little question in this thread and more 'off topic' sort of aura.Miller 330 a/bp water cooledI believe in gun control, I hold my gun with two hands.
