First I wanted to say great site! I've read through a bunch of old posts and can't believe the amount of knowledge here. Anyway, when I bought my welder(230AMP AC Stick) used, it came with a bunch of rods. Most of them have standard markings, but there are a whole bunch of 1/8" rods marked only PS-1-50. They are hard to hold an arc with, and the flux burns off in a cup, like 7018. The resulting weld looks very shiny, almost like chrome or SS. Anyone have any idea what these are? Should I just tos them?TIA, AngeloCornwall, NY
Reply:Most of those numbers are proprietary I think,, like model numbers. They could be anything.www.urkafarms.com |
