The insulation on this particular tank started burning when I welded on the seam right below the site of the burn. This tank was outside when this happened, so I thank my lucky stars that the wind wasn't blowing like mad as it usually does out there.Luckily the skin wrapped around the insulation was sealed good enough to cause the blaze to extinguish itself before it got out of hand.

I just saw your glove in the pic, realized that is a big piece of equipment.And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.
Reply:These are not the same trailer, but they are basically the same type. T-316 stainless hull used commonly for chemicals- hazardous materials and non haz.a non insulated tanka severly damaged tankanother view of the damaged tankand a few more of insulated tanks similar to the one in the original post.
