I am looking for a "bear" image to weld onto my steel driveway gate. I've searched the internet (includig King Metals) but they don't really have what I need. King's has a bear but it is small and very thin (.02 inches). I am looking for something about 8 inches high and weldable. Any suggestions on where I could find something like this?

Reply:Torchmate CNC table, 15-20 minutes and it is done.  Several members have these or other manufacturers machines.  Easily doneBobI'm spending my Kids inheritance, I dont like him that much anyway!!!!!!Enuff tools to do the job, enough sense to use em.Anybody got a spare set of kidneys?  Trade?
Reply:Jimrockireland,Do a search in google images for "bear silhouettes". You'll get dozens if not hundreds of images. Pick one, download it and print it out. For bigger images, most printers will "index" the image and print it on several pages. Paste the page or pages on some heavy paper, like project paper from a stationary store and cut out the image. Place the resulting template on a piece of steel of your choice, spray around the edge of the template with some black spray paint and you have a perfect outline to cut out with oxyacetylene or plasma torch. Weld your bear to your fence.  Most programs, even microsoft word will let you manipulate the image, making it larger, smaller, whatever to suit your needs. Hope this helps.-Dan
