I have not actually used my Econotig for TIG yet. I have built numerous BBQ smokers over the past 6 years using the stick but I am now ready to start welding up a few motorcycle frames using 1.25" mild steel tubing.Can anyone give me an idea of the amp setting I should use as a starting point for setting my machine up for TIG? I also was taught to TIG with around 8 psi on the Argon regulator, is this to high for this application and if so where should I start the Argon psi?Thanks,Jason
Reply:u need atleast 20 psi of argon flow so it dont blow away from the wind and u should be good around 50 to 60 amps with that welder.
