Good welding supply store in Maryland

Can anybody recommend a good supply house for welding supplies in central MD.  I'm between Frederick and Baltimore.  I mainly need a source for tig supplies.  And while I'm asking, what about a good shop for small quantities of steel?Thanks,
Reply:A good store if you don't mind the drive is B&R Welding.  Good prices on Miller and carry Optrel helmets.  Nice people.Roberts Oxygen is pretty good.  Make sure you get on their preferred customer's list (open an account).   Roberts has Saturday hours (their store north of Elkridge).  I'm near Olney so its a 45 minute drive and they close at 1, so whatever I need better break before then.  Note, Roberts typically is about 15% off from list (at least to me - an amature, not full time welder) mail order is typically 25%.  So you can still do better mailorder.Roberts has a place just south of Laurel on Rt1 (small shop, will order whatever) or a bigger shop on Kennelworth near Bladensburg - that shop has couple of weldors working there.  Good people.Check out Laurel Bottle and Gas for the best prices on Argon.  $26 for an 80 on exchange.  I know Roberts doesn't even check the hydro date and the bottles you get from Roberts are always in good shape (clean valves), but some Roberts store their bottles outside.  From Laurel I've gotten good bottles and some bottles that look like 8 layers of paint and all of them flaking.  Laurel has Saturday and Sunday hours.  So I go back and forth between Roberts and Laurel.  Roberts is $34 right now.For steel there is Posner, corner of Rt 1 and 100.  For stainless and aluminum there is E-J Enterprise.  They have a scrap heap too, last time I checked it was $2 lbs and you can find 2x4 plates of aluminum and stainless.  Not bad for many projects.Con Fuse!Miller Dynasty 350Millermatic 350P-Spoolmatic 30AMiller Multimatic 200Hypertherm PowerMax 1000G3Miller Maxstar 200DX
Reply:I ahve used EARLBECK 8204 PULASKI HIGHWAY BALTIMORE, MARYLAND 21237. It was a great place to exchange gas, and the prices were good. I dont use them regular, but when we are in that area(baltimore) and need something, they are great. They even swapped out my airgas bottles for me. Good people taht understand "the working man". I wish I had a small local place like that in richmond, arcet and airgas have bought out everyone!  never bought steel from up there.You have to learn the rules of the game. Reply:Can't beat B&R or Earlbeck.  Both were $25 cheaper than Robert's for tig and mig bottle swaps.
Reply:If you are ever in the Springfield Va area, Potomac Steel Supply are great guys to deal with when looking for small quantities of steel.  They will let you go out to the warehouse and pick and choose scrap.
