I'm new here, but have been reading a lot. I was wondering if any of you more experienced welders have any knowledge on the Lincoln Invertec V100-S welder. I have a mig welder and on oxy torch, but would like to get into tig also. I know this welder doesn't have the aluminum capability of the AC current welders, but I could weld thinner steel with it than I can with my Mig and oxy torch. I can't really see getting something like the Precision Tig 185 anytime soon, but the V100-S is affordable now. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Reply:It depends on if you see yourself doing any aluminum welding. If not then the V100 would be ideal. Of course if aluminum is important to you, I would wait and save up for the 185. I waited a little longer than I wanted to for my setup but was glad I did.
