Hi guys I have a couple question for you. Most of the welding I have ever done is with stick over the last 15 years. I have very little experience with mig well I bought 2 production machines at an auction this week. One is a linde and one is a hobart. Both are 300 amp 3 phase machines and the linde came on a cart with storage inside. Well after opening it up yesterday I noticed there were 3 30 lb spools of what looks to be stainless.Ok here is the questions1. The info on the spools says the following what do I have?Harris WelcoDia 0.045Alloy E71T-1Part# E71T1h8AWS# I can't make out but I will take another look todayI have looked this part number up and it doesn't show up on the companies web page.1 of the two spools is Mckay and it say Stainless wire right on it and it looks identical to the other two.The other question is what do these spools cost? I don't do any stainless so I will prolby sell them or trade with the guy down the street from my shop for regular wire. Is an even swap a bad deal for me? I looked at some stainless wire up on the web and it seems to be fairly expensive but I have no idea what stainless wire I have and there seems to be a big price swing based on which you buy. Thanks a lot for any info you can give me.
