any body else have trouble with mild steel tig beads having surface bubbles? i changed the tungsten and tried a longer stickout and i think the stickout helped it, i'm using 15cfh or pure argon so..StangnetShop Full Of Stuff. Joey
Reply:Are you using a water cooled torch? I think some dish soap got into your water cooler and you sprung a small leak if your torch is blowing bubbles... Actually, I get little TIG bubbles once and awhile too.. Have you tried running at 20 CFM? That's the suggested Argon flow rate for my TIG machine (Syncrowave 250DX). Also I find I might get bubbles if my filler rod is not super clean, or if it's old or just low quality filler rod... The low quality filler rod is great for O/A, but it's not good enough for TIG.. What kind/brand of filler rod are you using (if you know)?-AdrianPsychoKart
Reply:i'll try a higher cfh, the rod i am using is from unibraze, er70s2 1/16'' filler, the steel might no have clean enough in the first place, i super clean another part and try the new settingsStangnetShop Full Of Stuff. Joey |
