Using MM210 and3035 spool gun with strait argon. I'm thinking this is a good set up. I have 4043 and 5356 wire. Cleaning with aluminum grinding wheels. Just starting out. Any tips? Move fast? Let cool between welds? Thanks for any help.
Reply:You'll use more current that what you'd think. I do a "C" pattern with .045 wire on 1/8 diamond plate. Keep the torch angled into the puddle and try to do the weld in one continuous pass without stopping.
Reply:I have a 3035 spoolmate and it is not designed for .045 wire nor high amp output (much over 150). Also, when running the bead, run it forehand ( pushing the wire ) if possible, you wind up with better gas coverage for the bead and it looks nicer and tends not to develop pin holes as easy as dragging the wire (backhand).A few of my toys !LinuxMintManjaroMiller Roughneck 2E Lincoln WeldPak 100HTP MTS 160 Chicago Electric 80amp Inverter Victor O/A |
