Cute project :)

I made this on my break at work for the girlfriend's daughter. It was a simple, but cute little project I came up with while welding seemingly endless welds.  I drew what I wanted, and traced it with .035 hardwire. Sorry about the picture quality, it's an older digital camera (it takes 4 AA's )Her daughter just turned 8.  the lower case "a" is supposed to be cute, yeah...it has nothing to do with my switching to uppercase halfway through by accident, not at all... *whistles*The ring's are shot 3/16 7018 (ala, out of the oven more than 4 hours), with the flux knocked off, tacked on one end, and bent around a random bolt, cut apart, locked in a vice and closed with a wrench.Last edited by mb_welder; 03-28-2008 at 09:05 AM.

Reply:Thanks for the replies!  I believe I did the lettering around 20 Volts in short circuit with C-25 gas.  I can't remember what I had the wire set at, I think it was around 3 1/2. She loves it, and wants to hang it on her door.  I just helped her and her mom move into a new place this past week, which might have been the inspiration.  I might have to pick up some clear coat, I didn't have any intention of painting it.Last edited by mb_welder; 03-31-2008 at 09:59 PM.
