I am new to this forum and just got this 300 amp square wave lincoln tig. Has anyone used this machine and what do yo think of it? I am new to tig. I tried it out a bit, once I ran a new electrical service to the garage, it draws 65 amps just idling. The arc starts easy, I can see it takes some skill to get this working right. Do you reccomend a book or just trial and error? thanks for any input on this ...
Reply:Go to www.aws.org and get there Volume 2 of the welding handbook. It covers all welding processes and has some techniques you can try.
