Well I built a complete new one with the axle from this http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...hlight=trailer .Seems as if my first trailer didn't like having the axle so far back, bounced like crazy! So I built this one. The frame is 1/4'' x 3'' x 3'' angle with 1/8'' diamond plate floor. I built the fenders out of 1/8'' mild plate using a torch and grinder. I definately like this one better pulls like a dream! Tell me what you think. Attached Images
Reply:Good looking rig. It looks stout enough to last. One question, where is your work table?
Reply:I think that you should drop it off at my house and I will "test drive" it for you, for a few years and then I will tell you what I think.Nice job, looks good.Mack
Reply:nice job ChuckASME Pressure Vessel welder
Reply:That looks great!!! Good job, I might go with something a little bit stronger than the chains though - I mean a peice of looped 1/8" or something. I'm still pretty new so don't take my words for gold. I know I'd be proud if i built something that nice!
Reply:Do you mean the chains on the bottles? It has over a 600 lb. working limit.
Reply:HEY now that is slick!!  Looks very well built!!  Trailers are getting so expensive now, I have considered making my own, but it makes me nervous.  I figure by the time I get the materials and an axle and all that I may as well just buy one lol.  At any rate, that looks like an excellent job big worm!Have a Jeep Cherokee?  Click Here!
Reply:That Is A Nice Looking Trailer. Can I Have A Copy Of The Plans. Thank You

Reply:you never complain about an extra trailer... one of the vital transport for welder on the move... good jobUnit in my fab shop dept:my good hand and team that trust me...A lone welder make art... a village full of welder make Miracles...
Reply:You really did a good job. But, if your up for suggestions, next time I would put a winged hitch and have the two pieces going back to the bed of the trailer instead of the one tube tongue. It makes for a much stronger tongue. And you can put expanded metal in the bottom of the v and put your chocks and jack block there as well as electric cords. It`s just another storage place and you know you never have enough storage.
Reply:Good idea Bob.  I may have to do that to mine.  ThanksLast edited by Mack; 04-11-2008 at 09:05 PM.Reason: misspellingMack
