Hi i just tested for my wire feed cert i have a little undercut on my last pass over head on the cover and my teacher wants me to run a 1/8 bead next to it ,anything bigger then 1/8 and i will be laped over my cover plate to far , however i can not for the life of me get my bead under 1/4 inch in width every time i try it just is to high , ive tried different wire leangths different speed different amps but anything lower then what i run useal just comes out like crap , can you even run a bead under 1/4 with flux 0.68 ? if anyone out there does and can help me with wire and amp settings to achieve this i would really love to hear from you , i know this test plate passes as long as i can get that last pass down ,Last edited by sinner73; 02-16-2011 at 03:00 PM.
